Safeguarding, Privacy and Consent
Artstacks is committed to safeguarding the welfare, wellbeing and privacy of all children and young people.
Where work created by pupils is shared on this website, every reasonable effort is made to ensure that it complies with the safeguarding, data protection and image consent procedures of the originating school or organisation.
Student work is displayed to celebrate creativity, learning and achievement. Personal information is kept to an absolute minimum. Unless explicit permission has been granted, pupils will not be identified by full name and no personal contact information will ever be published.
Where photographs or video are used, appropriate permissions are obtained in accordance with the policies of the participating school or organisation. Any image or work for which consent has not been granted will not be published.
Artstacks supports current safeguarding guidance and recognises the increasing importance of protecting young people in digital environments. Images are selected and presented responsibly, and may be removed or updated at any time if safeguarding or consent requirements change.
If you believe that any image, artwork or information published on this website should be amended or removed, please contact us immediately and we will investigate the request as a priority.
Artstacks works alongside schools, educators, artists and creative organisations to promote creativity in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.
For projects undertaken with Samuel Ward Academy, safeguarding procedures are followed in line with the Academy's published safeguarding and child protection policies.
Parental and Pupil Consent Statement
ArtStacks is committed to celebrating creativity while respecting the rights, privacy and wellbeing of all children and young people.
Where artwork, photographs, videos or other creative content created by pupils or students is shared through ArtStacks, it is understood that the submitting school, college, educational organisation or parent/carer has obtained the appropriate permissions and consents in accordance with their own safeguarding, data protection and image-use policies.
By submitting material to ArtStacks, the submitting organisation or individual confirms that:
-
Appropriate parental and/or pupil consent has been obtained where required.
-
The submitted material may be displayed by ArtStacks for educational, inspirational and promotional purposes.
-
The submission does not knowingly infringe the rights, privacy or copyright of any individual or organisation.
-
Any information accompanying the work is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
To help protect the identity of young people, ArtStacks will minimise the use of personal information wherever possible. Full names, personal contact details and other identifying information will not normally be published unless there is a clear educational reason to do so and the appropriate permissions have been obtained.
If a parent, carer, student or educational organisation believes that any material published by ArtStacks should be amended or removed, they are encouraged to contact us. All requests will be treated seriously, reviewed promptly and, where appropriate, the material will be updated or removed without unnecessary delay.
ArtStacks is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful online environment that celebrates creativity while supporting the safeguarding responsibilities of schools, colleges, educators and families.
